| Michelle Malkin’s blog has been the target of DoS (denial of service) attacks traced back to turktelecom. For the time being she’s posting at Pajamas Media. Apparently her IP has the blog back online but nothing new has been uploaded at the time of this writing. Frankly, I’m on Michelle’s side on this. As an American, I support and encourage free speech. Voltaire said, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” I would hope that most Americans would defend to the death the right of others to speak freely whether the ideas spoken are agreed to or not. I know it’s one of the principles in the United States’ Constitution and that thousands of troops are actively defending that right among others. With that in mind, I also believe that there are more of us than of them. In other words, there are more lovers of liberty than those actively attempting to stifle it. La Shawn Barber has written an excellent piece relating to this with relevant links which I encourage you to read. La Shawn encourages all who are willing to resist these haters of free speech and refuse to be silent. I, too, will not be silenced willingly.
UPDATE: Michelle Malkin’s blog is back up and seems to be stable as of a little after 5pm MM blog time.
