And Now…A Baseball Score At A Football Game

The bad news: Mississippi State lost to No. 9 Auburn by a score of 3-2. Yes, you read that correctly…3 to 2. The only scoring was when Auburn kicked a 36-yard field goal in the second quarter and when an Auburn offensive lineman was flagged for holding in the end zone thereby giving Mississippi State a two-point safety with 7:05 left in the fourth quarter.
So what’s the good news in all of this? The Bulldogs managed to hang with the ninth ranked team in the country. Actually it’s not that much of good news because Auburn committed three turnovers, missed two field goals, and handed the Bulldogs their only points with the fourth-quarter safety. In short, Auburn almost handed MSU the ballgame on a silver platter but the Bulldogs royally sucked. Check out these miserable stats: 30 rushing plays for a paltry 38 yards total; 10 receptions for only 78 yards. That’s only 116 total offensive yards gained. In short, the Dawgs were absolutely horrid on the field. Coach Croom had better get the team play better or else MSU might go winless in the SEC this year.
