AQUABATS! SUPERSHOW!
Courtesy of Boing Boing comes the video of the pilot for the Aquabats live-action/animated TV show. I’ve been a fan of this California band for quite some time now and have even mentioned them on this blog before. They are usually labeled as a ska band (or variants thereof) but they cover a wide variety of genres. It’s hard to describe their stage show (I’ve only seen it via DVD) but it’s sort of a combination of ska meets rock meets sci-fi meets superhero meets comic-books-come-to-life sort of thing. According to their website they plan on having Florida dates on their year-end Hooray For The Holidays tour. Hopefully they’ll play a date locally.
