The Office
Actually this has nothing to do with the sitcom of the same name but the actual workspace in my new (just about 2 months) job. I actually share a cubicle with another person (she works the day shift; I work the night shift) and was allowed to decorate a small portion within reason. Here’s what it looks like.
This is the majority of the decorations in the cubicle. Some photos of my wife and me, a Weidmann’s Restaurant peanut butter crock in which I keep the paper clips, a couple of coffee mugs, a souvenir hockey puck from the very first Tallahassee Tiger Sharks hockey game, a small McFarlane figurine of Deuce McAllister of the New Orleans Saints (currently on the injured reserve list), and one of the Mississippi State Bulldogs cowbells from my collection.
More of my “stuff” including a little cheap ipod docking station/clock radio which allows me to listen to music while I do hours upon hours of data entry. I am so glad I am allowed to do so because if I had to do my job in silence, I’d probably go nuts.
And the wall decorations mostly of the teams I root (and in the case of the Tiger Sharks - rooted) for. The McDonald’s retro reproduction sign is something I picked up several years ago via ebay and is a reminder of the McDonald’s that was near where my Grandparents lived in Memphis. It stayed “old school” with the arches on the side of the building until just before my Grandparents retired and moved to Florida in the late 70’s.
