Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs

Okay, so it was not unexpected that the Bulldogs would beat tiny Gardner-Webb by a score of 31-15. This gives them their first three-game winning streak since 2000. That’s pretty sad when you think about it. The last time MSU started 3-1, it ended its season winning the Independence Bowl. However next week they face ranked South Carolina coached by Steve Spurrier. Will the Bulldogs have enough in them for a second upset in a season? We’ll see.
One nice thing is that Comcast Sports South, a channel carried on the local cable system played the abbreviated tape-delay broadcast of the game. And it made me homesick for the cowbells in Starkville. Sometime soon, I’ll put a blog entry about my MSU cowbell collection.
