What IS This Guy Singing?
Doesn’t make much sense at first. Sounds like some unique songs sung in a foreign language. But you’ll recognize the song about halfway through the video. This is quite amazing.

Berkeley vs USMC: The Face Off- on Video
I have spent the last three hours processing and scanning about 6 hours of video form the 2-12 Berkeley City Council Meeting.
I’m exhausted. Mentally, ideologically and physically.

You’re right. I did recognize it… about a bar before the video was re-played backwards, although I had begun to think it was the song I settled on shortly before, the rather distinctive “pickup” notes to the first bar (penultimate as sung) were a giveaway, even “backwards”.

BTW, the faculty for recognizing “backwards” music is an unnatural faculty first developed when a few of us in high school band “pranked” a director we unuversally (as a band) despised by playing music backwards or even with the sheet simply turned upside down (which was, admittedly, easier). Long story. I believe even today, after a music degree and some years teaching, that the guy more than deserved the pranking.
