New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I’ve been watching the Saints-Bucs game and frankly don’t know what the heck is going on with the Saints. I noted a story told by the announcers during the first half about the Saints holding a jazz funeral for the trophies, honors, etc. from last season so the team wouldn’t hold onto the past and concentrate on the future. Well apparently they buried much of the talent from last season as well and need to go dig it up ASAP. They are looking like the terrible Saints from the Aaron Brooks era. The offensive line isn’t giving Brees any protection. The defensive secondary is getting burned time and time again. I don’t know who the imposters are on the field wearing Reggie Bush’s and Deuce McAllister’s uniforms. Drew Brees is looking like a confused rookie. It’s completely embarrassing. I was hoping the huge loss to the Colts was a fluke but what the Saints AREN’T doing against the Bucs is showing me that perhaps not only was the Saints’ ability lacking but also their confidence.
The second half started and the Saints still look TERRIBLE.
The game mercifully ends with the Saints losing to the Bucs by a final score of 31-14. The Saints showed flashes of mediocrity. It really didn’t help matters when Fox Sports showed the graphic explaining that only 1% of teams starting the season with an 0-2 record made it to the playoffs.
You know it’s a bad game for the Saints when the best thing about it was the Visa commercial which featured the song “When The Saints Go Marching In” while Saints fans purchased stuff with their Visa cards.

thanks for dropping by my site. I hope you come and visit NOLA soon - you don’t need the excuse of a job,…. do you?? Mardi Gras was fantastic last year and I’m presumming will be even better this year…..
I too was gutted by today’s game. What has happened to the boys?? I agree Brees looks like he’s a total rookie with no confidence and the others just seemed to crumble whenever any of the Buccaneers came near them….. As for Bush…. maybe the New Orleans T-shirts and bumper stickers that say “finally a Bush we can all agree on” are still relevant but it wont be that we are all agreeing that he’s great this year - is he just waiting to pounce or something??? It was a very sad disheartening game - made sadder by the fact we had perfect weather today - perfect - and I used up 3 hours sitting indoors getting depressed…….
By the way I hate stats!!!!
Best Wishes
Kirsty

The Tennessee Titans ALMOST beat the Colts. Close, but no cigar.
My brother and his family live in Tamp, so they will root for the Buccaneers.
